Introduction. Analysis of the -experience with large and staghorn stones of the solitary kidney was carried out to optimize the treatment of this group of patients. Materials and methods. This study included 74 patients with large (>20 mm) and staghorn stones of solitary (functionally solitary) kidney. In 73 patients the following operations were performed: in 58 patients -percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), in 2 - retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS), in 2 - extracorporeal s hock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL), in 11 -open surgery.
