Remuneration of marketplace managers using key performance indicators

The article discusses the current trends in the development of the trade industry in Russia, one of the main means of which is the expansion of trade formats in the form of marketplaces. The features of marketplaces and the procedure for registering enterprises on electronic platforms for the sale of their goods are characterized. Special attention is paid to the study of job responsibilities of marketplace managers as employees who ensure effective trading of enterprises on marketplaces. As part of their functions, such as: registration of the seller company on the marketplace; establishment of cards for goods are considered; reporting; formation of deliveries; content management; SEO optimization; tracking and control of the movement of goods, logistics; processing customer reviews. The special role of marketplace managers is noted in modern conditions, when there is a rapid growth in online sales using marketplaces, the number of customers increases. It is concluded that the most effective way to motivate a marketplace manager will be to pay for his work using KPIs (key performance indicators). The economic content of this indicator is considered and the features of its use for marketplace managers are formulated. It is proposed to form their wages as part of two parts constant and variable. At the same time, the constant part should not be lower than the subsistence minimum set in a certain region, and the variable should be formed depending on the value of key performance indicators. As key performance indicators for marketplace managers, the following are proposed: the volume of sales on marketplaces; realized trading margin; the cost of an average receipt; customer conversion; the number of positive customer reviews. The formula for calculating the variable part of the salary of a marketplace manager is given, taking into account the value of key indicators in points and their specific weight in shares.
