The Oplechye of the 17th century from the residential quarter of the Novodevichy convent

The paper deals with the artifacts from one of the graves explored in 20142015 at the cemetery of the St. John the Forerunner Church in the residential quarter ofthe Novodevichy Convent. The grave yielded an unusual item of vestments, which wasidentified in the course of investigation as the oplechye (a high stiff top part) of a felonionwhile its wearer was identified as a clergyman. The attribution and graphical reconstruction of the studied item are provided.
