The device for testing materials for friction and wear according to the scheme "ring-disk" is described. Influence of the content in composite material on the basis of thermoexpanded graphite the silicon-organic binder, specific load and speed of sliding of friction coefficient is investigated. Researches are conducted according to the method of design of experiments. The regression equations are received. It is established that with increase in the maintenance the silicon-organic binder on the basis of thermoexpanded graphite the friction coefficient increases in composite material. With increasing in specific loading the friction coefficient decreases. The used equipment for research the wear and design of experiment is possible to apply not only to the material, described in article. but also to others, for example, pluoroplastic, polyethylene, polyamide and compositions on their basis.
