Magnetic separation slags of high carbon ferrochromium manufacture is carried out. The data on structure of a magnetic product, and also on a chemical composition of metal and slag received after melting the magnetic product containing chromium are cited. Connection between degree of crushing of slags and an exit of taken metal is established. The combination method permitted to solve the question on the weight of the test which will give trustworthy information about quantity of metal content in the slag by magnetic separation. The constructed dependences permit to define the weight of the test and quantity of parallel experiments for definition of the exit of a target magnetic product with demanded accuracy.
