Determination of bearing capacity of reinforced concrete hanging piles by static indentation load and design method

The paper compares the data on the ultimate bearing capacity of reinforced concrete hanging piles with a cross section of 40×40 cm obtained by two methods: on the basis of in-situ tests by static indentation load and on the basis of the calculation method in accordance with the requirements of SP 24.13330.2021 “Pile Foundations”. The analysis has shown the following: according to the results of the static indentation load method, the maximum percentage of discrepancy is reduced to 13.05% and it can be noted that static tests provide very accurate information on the bearing capacity of piles, but are extremely labor-intensive. Due to the destructive nature of the tests, the piles cannot be used further and are subjected to culling.
