The results of numerical simulation and experimental study of the speckle method with the use of spiral laser beams to determine the roughness parameters and fault detection surface of an optically opaque parts of the aircraft are discussed. It is shown that use of the probing the spiral wave front of increases the sensitivity and accuracy of the method.
