Definition of risk in business activity

The authors analyzed the various points of view available in the national doctrine in the interpretation of the risk category in entrepreneurship, as well as the current norms of civil legislation. Despite the variety of different interpretations of risk, the authors come to the conclusion that the question posed is insufficiently developed and that there is no clear and precise definition of risk in business activity at the level of the law. In order to resolve gaps in legislation and expand the conceptual apparatus, the authors proposed a variant of this term and, accordingly, its inclusion in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
