Determination of thermal physical properties of permafrost soils

Бесплатный доступ

In modern construction and geotechnics, the study of the thermophysical properties of soils plays an important role in the design and operation of various engineering facilities. Understanding the thermophysical characteristics of soils allows not only to effectively solve problems of thermal insulation and heat transfer, but also to evaluate thermal regimes in soil masses under various climatic and operational conditions. This article discusses the methodology for determining the thermophysical properties of soils, analyzes the factors influencing the thermal conductivity and heat capacity of soils, and discusses the practical aspects of applying the obtained data in design and construction. Understanding and studying these parameters is of great importance for ensuring the efficient operation of engineering systems and ensuring comfortable conditions in buildings and structures built on soil foundations.
