Determination of the dependence of forces in the condensing element of the end membrane seal from the total load

The paper provides a generalized calculation of the relative magnitude of the force transmitted by the membrane seal assembly to the central bush that forms the contact sealing surface. The functional dependence of the value of the sealing force on various combinations of diametral dimensions of the annular membrane is presented. A conclusion is made about the suitability of the values of the obtained function for use as the coefficient of the total hydraulic load in calculating the contact pressures realized in the seals.
