Optimal temperature for the spring growth of populus Nigra L. shoots in the North

Studying of temperature dependence of vegetative buds metabolism (respiration and thermal emission) of poplar black trees( Populus nigra L.), growing in a park zone of Syktyvkar. It is shown that the optimal temperature for shoots height of this type makes near 10 оС that is close to average long-term temperature in the period of shoots active growth and testifies to high extent of adaptation of metabolism at poplar black to climatic conditions of middle taiga subzone.
