Optimal roofing materials for the climatic conditions of the Arctic

In this article, various roofing materials were analyzed and the feasibility of their use in the Arctic was revealed. In the most popular roofing materials, positive and negative qualities were determined, which are detected during operation in the harsh climate of the Arctic. Attention was paid to such characteristics as: wear resistance, material weight, cost, heat engineering and bearing abilities. Since the harsh climate of the Arctic requires carefully selected finishing materials, since the quality of life of residents directly depends on this, based on a comparative analysis, conclusions were drawn. On their basis, recommendations were created for the selection of finishing roofing material for buildings located in subarctic and arctic climates.
