Receiving distributors (RD) are an important component of grain cleaning units. They are used to evenly distribute grain across cleaning devices (sieves, aspiration channels, etc.) and improve cleaning efficiency, which will allow you to equalize the grain flow, distribute it across the entire width of the cleaning device and control its direction. An RD also allows you to increase the productivity of grain cleaning units, speed up the cleaning process, as well as to improve the quality of the final product. This is especially important in the conditions of the modern market, when the requirements for the quality and quantity of products are constantly growing. Thus, the use of receiving distributors in grain cleaning units is an urgent and necessary condition for effective and high-quality cleaning of grain crops. The purpose of the presented study is to determine the optimal geometric parameters of the receiving distributor depending on the speed of material input into the grain cleaning machine. Analysis of the data obtained shows that an important parameter of the switchgear is the length of the blades and the speed of movement of particles from the receiving distributor. The optimal length of the blades of the switchgear is 0,288 m, the maximum input speed of the material by the switchgear is 4,5 m/s, at which the critical impact velocity of the material is reached is 9,98 m/s. Based on the conducted studies, after determining the length of the blades of the switchgear, other geometric parameters of the receiving distributor were determined: plexiglass glass thick-ness of 4 mm; the hopper has a useful volume equal to 20 liters; the size of the bulk material loading com-partment is 284 mm × 296 mm; the size of the switchgear compartment is 149 mm × 296 mm; the window for the exit of bulk material is 191 mm × 298 mm.
