Optimization of the endoscopic stop of bleeding from varicose-extended veses of the esophagus on the background of pharmacotherapy

The paper presents the results of examination and surgical treatment of 27 patients with portal hypertension syndrome, complicated by bleeding from varicose veins of the esophagus and stomach, with the inclusion of x-ray surgical interventions in the complex of hemostatic measures. The rational use of the developed diagnostic algorithm in a complex of hemostatic methods of treating patients with portal hypertension complicated by profuse bleeding from the varicose veins of the esophagus and stomach made it possible to reduce the recurrence rate of bleeding from 47.2% to 31.4%, and the overall mortality rate from 72.2% to 22 ,1%.
