Optimizing Healthcare Delivery and its Impact on Demographic Trends in the Republic of Mordovia (2022–2024)

Introduction. The improvement of the medical care system within the framework of the national Healthcare project has an impact on the demographic situation in the Republic of Mordovia. The study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of implemented measures to improve the effectiveness of medical care in the context of their impact on key demographic indicators, such as the birth rate, mortality, and migration flows. The purpose of the study is to analyze population and natural movement indicators in the Republic of Mordovia for 2022–2024. Materials and Methods. A comparative analysis of time series of demographic indicators presented in absolute values and percentages was conducted. The results are presented in the form of figures. When analyzing the data, the indicators for 2022 were taken as the basis. They were compared with similar indicators of 2023–2024. The difference in values and the dynamics of changes in indicators in the direction of increase or decrease over the specified period were determined. Information about the population is based on official statistics. Results. This article provides an analysis of demographic indicators in the Republic of Mordovia, such as population, birth rate, mortality, and migration for 2022–2024. A decrease was revealed in the total population, the number of women of childbearing age, the death rate, and the number of marriages. The birth rate and death rate have shown a downward trend. There is a downward trend in the number of registered marriages, but the number of divorces is also decreasing. Discussion and Conclusion. The study results make a significant contribution to the development of socio-economic policy in the Republic of Mordovia. They will be useful for practical healthcare and authorities involved in improving the well-being of our citizens as they identify areas that should be given special attention. Within the framework of the Russian National Healthcare Project, it is recommended to continue taking measures to improve the availability of primary health care at the place of residence as well as digital infrastructure based on the Unified State Health Information System of the Republic of Mordovia.
