The determination of optimal seeding rate of soybean for its cultivation in the forest-steppe of the Irkutsk region

The article discusses the possible introduction of soybean on the territory of the Irkutsk region. It is shown that in the conditions of forest-steppe at the latitude of 52° 17', it is possible to grow soybean (Glycine). The potential seed yield can reach 3 t/ha. The growth season lasts from 99 to 112 days. In which case it is noted that in the drill seeding after the predecessor of complete fallow the highest productivity was obtained by seeding rate of 900 thousand/ha. The seeding rate of 700 thousand/ha showed no gain in productivity and was almost identical to the seeding rate of 500 thousand/ha. The moisture content of the growth season determines the maximum soybean productivity.
