Optimization of system control local government of Russia

The article examines one of the pressing issues of modern municipal government - the organization and directions for optimizing local self-government in Russia. The material is presented through an analysis of legal norms regulating the activities of local governments in Russia. The constitutional norms of the unity of public power are correlated with the issue of including municipal power in its system, and ways (directions) of increasing the role of local self-government in modern Russia are highlighted.
