Bladder tumors and enzymatic activity in blood serum and urine

Бесплатный доступ

Lactatdehydrogenase (LDG) activity in blood serum and urine was studied in 102 patients (71 men and 31 women) with benign (10) and malignant (92) bladder tumors and in 118 subjects of the control group. Total LDG activity was determined by kinetic method using a special kit of reagents. A significant increase in enzymatic LDG activity in blood serum and urine was found in bladder cancer patients. For men, a significant increase in the level of LDG concentration in blood serum was observed for stage I, II, III bladder cancer. For women, enzymatic activity was significantly increased only in urine for stage III disease.
