Ken kesey’s novel "Sometimes a great notion": a deconstruction attempt

Бесплатный доступ

This article presents partial results of the deconstruction of Ken Kesey’s novel «Sometimes a Great Notion» and tentatively describes the specifics of the deconstruction method, which is based on the deconstruction concept of Jacques Derrida, textual analysis of Roland Barthes, and reception theory of Wolfgang Iser. The author articulates the ontological, epistemological and axiological premises of the deconstruction strategy, justifies its efficiency as a practice allowing to overcome metaphysical thinking, and then applies this strategy to the text of the novel. The poetical elements of this text are interpreted in the contexts of the concepts of F. Nietzsche, J. Deleuze, G. Marcuse, M. Heidegger.
