The 5-day cell culture of human embryo fibroblasts was inserted in the fifth passage into the produced hole-like defect of canine tibial proximal metaphysis as a suspension of cells with concentration of 100 000 cells / ml in the total dose of 1 million of cells per animal. Control was represented by a contralateral limb into the defect of which the cells were not inserted. The hematologic studies made evidence relative safety of the preparation, but they don't confirm its immunological inertia. The roentgenologic and histologic data obtained put in doubt the expected osteoinducing effect of the preparation used, because insertion of fibroblast culture stimulates growing of fibrillar connective tissue into the defect and prevents its filling with endosteally formed spongy bone.
