Data obtained in an association experiment have been analysed in the paper. In the course of the experiment Russian native speakers were to restore the content of selected Japanese sayings and proverbs. The results were analysed with the help of entropy approach and two-dimensional topology of the sayings and proverbs (variability of responses against the number of refusals).
