Experience of studying the dynamics of forest stands in Zhigulevsk reserve

Here are covered the contents of works studying the dynamics of forest stands of the basic forest generative types held in Zhigulevsk reserve in the last quarter of the past century. Representations concerning the dynamics of the forest stands, the theories of monitoring of natural development of forest stands are stated, the collected materials and the first materials of their analysis are characterized. The changes in the rocky structure of plantings of the trial areas for all period of supervision are shown, the average intensity of the growth processes, dying off and replenishment of forest stands and its types' and the five-year periods' distinctions is estimated. The influence of the major processes of forest stands' development on the dynamics of their stock total volume is estimated and the comparison of time series of the parameters of forest stands' dynamics of various plantings with and separate types is held.
