The review examines the contents of the monograph “The Russian Orthodox Church in Mongolia: past and present” written by N.N. Kornienko, A.M. Plekhanova. The main advantages and positive moments of the work have been revealed, including new secular and church sources that have been introduced into science, and the authors’ results obtained, that significantly complement the history of the Orthodox missionary work in the neighboring countries, have been characterized.
