Experience in eliminating highly pathogenic avian influenza in the Republic of Tatarstan

In 2017, the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus was observed in farms of the Russian Federation, including LLC "poultry complex Laishevsky", personal subsidiary farms, and private farmsteads of the Republic of Tatarstan. As a result of the disease, about half a million poultry were destroyed. Introduction of strict quarantine measures allowed to eliminate the epizootic focus of avian influenza in the Republic.
