Experience in the development of innovative strategies of tourism organizations

The article analyzes the results of the survey of the managers working in large tourism organisations concerning the development of innovative strategies. The method of expert evaluation has determined close correlationand has calculated the Spearman rank correlation coefficient. Top managers from large tour operator organisations who have been working in tourism for at least five years were chosen as experts. Contradictions in answers uncovered the problem of multi-valued understanding of innovative strategy. In order to minimise the effect of the problem an analytical comparison of the term “strategy” interpretations was performed. It reflects different aspects of the consideration of the term: functionality, process, structure, scientific nature. The survey conducted by the Goskomstat of Russia on the identification of the level of innovative strategy of tourism organisation. The problems of the activity of tourism organisations are identified and grouped according to the survey. The solution of these problems will allow to develop innovative strategies with the aim of creating the future potential of tourism organization.
