Experience in Solving the Problems of Software Import Substitution in Higher Education

The article considers the problem of the transition of higher education institutions from foreign software to freely distributed software, which is relevant within the framework of the import substitution policy. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to ensure the sovereignty of the Russian higher education system in the fi eld of information technology and the need to adapt the educational process to the new conditions of digital independence. The results of a comparative analysis of the functionality of software solutions using the example of offi ce packages are presented.; The problems of adaptation of students and teachers to new software are revealed. Solutions to the identifi ed problems are proposed. The ultimate goal of the study is to help universities minimize the risks associated with the transition to freely distributed software.
