Experience of preservation and development of traditional culture of indigenous peoples (1920-1990s)

In the article the traditional culture of the indigenous peoples of East Siberia is considered in one of the contradictory periods of the history of Russia, i.e. Soviet modernization. Culture, language area, religion, art are truly recognized to be the concentration and embodiment of national peculiarity. In the period of Soviet modernization in multinational Russia, an attempt to preserve and develop the traditional culture of the ethnicity of the peoples of our country, including indigenous peoples of East Siberia was made. In this period a serious transformation of the traditional economy of the peoples of the region happened, as well as great changes in their cultural and spiritual spheres took place. This article is devoted to the study of these complex contradictory issues. The ethno-cultural processes are analyzed through the prism of national policy conducted by the Party and governmental bodies. The content of the Soviet socialist culture and its interaction with the cultures of other peoples of the USSR are revealed.
