Experience of growing Ranunculus asiaticus for cut in open ground in Western Siberia

The purpose of the study is to select varieties for obtaining cut Asian ranunculus in open ground under the conditions of Western Siberia. Research was carried out on the basis of the educational, scientific and production laboratory Sadovodstvo of the Omsk State Agrarian University in 2021-2022. The following cultivar populations of Asian ranunculus were taken as the object of research: pale pink, hot pink, white, Pastel mix and varieties of Italian origin of the Elegance series - Pink, Picoteepink, Crema, Rosa Chiaro, White, Salomone, Pastello, Bianko. Observations and records corresponded to generally accepted me-thods. Phenological and biometric studies were carried out according to the “Method of primary variety study of flower crops” in relation to crown anemone. The growing season was determined; on average, over two years it was 90-115 days, depending on the option. The flowering period averaged from 12 to 35 days, the beginning of the phase was noted in the second ten days of June. The shortest flowering period over two years of research was observed in the Bianko variety and the Pastelmix variety population - 12-16 days. The variety and population with white flower color bloomed longer - 28-35 days (White and belaya). A slightly shorter flowering period was noted for varieties and populations with a pink tint of perianth - 20-25 days (Pink, Picoteepink, Crema, RosaChiaro, Salomone, Pastello and pale pink). The growing season of 2022 was distinguished by a shorter flowering period; all studied varieties and va-riety populations bloomed on average 2-10 days less compared to 2021. During flowering, plants formed from one to four peduncles. The varieties RosaChiaro, Salomone and the pale pink and white variety populations were the most productive, which formed up to 4 peduncles, some specimens formed up to 5 peduncles. The quality of cut products depends on the timely collection of flowers. Cutting was carried out in the morning when the colored flower had not completely dissolved.
