The article is devoted to the analytics of modern society, where «smart» technologies determine the media environment (which has become essential for humans). They take an active part in the formation of the social, political, economic and cultural field, pretending to have their own agency. Their role in the industry, science, medicine, entertainment, and other areas is growing and many functions that were previously assigned to humans are now delegated to technology and digital media functioning in the logic of premediation. if recently we talked about the transition to post-social societies of knowledge, where traditional social ties were disintegrating, the collective body was fragmenting, and experts (and automatic expert systems) were becoming a new elite, now we are observing a new shift to the societies of techno-knowledge, where artificial computer learning systems replace the experts, economic behaviour is regulated by digital media, and the social field is reassembled through the media of computer games, social networks, and streaming services. Based on «smart» technologies (artificial intelligence, neural networks, machine learning), the society of techno-knowledge offers new social configurations, in which humans share power with machines and increasingly trust expert systems, based on training. The process of reassembling the relation between humans and machines is explored through the analysis of the organizational principle of artificial neural network systems and their usage in medicine and other areas.
