The article examines the process of record-keeping in the district courts of Nizhny Novgorod, characterizes the departments that carry out record-keeping activities, provides the regulatory framework for judicial record-keeping, and examines groups of documents issued by judicial authorities. The technology of working with various documents, including electronic ones, in the district courts of Nizhny Novgorod is being studied. As a result of the conducted research, the problems that arise in district courts when working with documents are identified, and the specifics of the office work of the district courts of the city are formulated.
