The relevance of the problem of improving information and analytical work in the field of combating illegal drug trafficking which tasks are to anticipate and prevent crimes, is considered in the article. The author outlines some ways to optimize and improve the efficiency of analytical work to ensure further development of theoretical provisions and practical recommendations for improving the scientific, legal, organizational and methodological foundations of information and analytical support for operational-search activities.
