Arranging research activity for students expected to be teachers majored in mathematics in the framework of the national research university

The paper considered relevance of academic research activity at the national research university for those students trained for a major № 050100 - Vocational Training for Teachers; section "Teaching Mathematics"). The study described practices at the Chair of Mathematics and Teaching Techniques, at Saratov State University on arranging the academic research activity for the expected teachers of mathematics, aimed at generating new knowledge and applying it in solving occupational tasks.
