The organization of hunting the migrating geese in Predbaykalye: definition of shooting quota

On the territory of Predbaykalye (Irkutsk oblast) stay of 9 species of geese and barnacles is registered. 7 types differ or the lowest number, or are noted only flyings. In too time here pass the main migratory ways of two mass species of geese on which the hunting organization is possible: White-Fronted Goose and Bean Goose. The main part of flying types is made by the geese occupying east part of Taimyr peninsula and the delta of Lena River. The possible size of shooting of these types is defined by their number and shooting volumes on places of nesting and stops on rest during migration. The admissible quota of using in Predbaykalye, both in the spring and autumn, makes 1,0-2,5% of the total number of migrating birds.
