Organization of the general subjects Olympiad in the South-Ural State Technical College. Peculiarities of competition tasks making in mathematics

The paper analyses the mechanism of organization and holding the general subjects Olympiads at the college and peculiarities of the Olympiad tasks data bank formation using mathematics as an example. The authors explain the difference between ‘complexity’ and ‘difficulty’ of the mathematical task and present the seven-point grading scale of the competition works.
