Organization of the laboratory workshop "Production of biofuels by decarboxylation of organic acid"

Бесплатный доступ

The huge demand for resources and energy, and the scarcity of global resources is driving up the price of oil, natural gas and coal, forcing us to look for alternative sources of resources and energy. The use of biofuels is one of the most efficient applications of alternative sources of thermal energy. This report is designed as a laboratory practical exercise for students in obtaining biofuels by decarboxylation from vegetable oils, animal fats, or derived fatty acids. The workshop also includes analysis of the results of acid-base titration, determination of acid and iodine numbers of oleic acid before and after decarboxylation.
