The article considers the issue of improving the quality of training in the military education system. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, the article determines the direction of improving the quality of the training of military specialists. After the decomposition of the objective of the study, on the basis of the research done, using the method of observation, analysis, synthesis and experiment, the author formulates the proposal to organize the self-testing of learning material's assimilation level at general military training classes and the algorithm for organizing a class taking into account the self-testing of students, which allow adjusting the process of assimilating the learning material.
