The article is devoted to revealing the role of merchant-entrepreneur Aleksandr Mikhailovich Sibiryakov (1849-1933) in the organization of navigation on the Angara. Little-known documents on the merchant’s activity promoting the development of trade, industry, culture, education of the Siberian region are introduced into a scientific circulation.
