The article is devoted to the consideration of the attributes and organizational forms of military service, such as traditions, rituals, sacred symbols of military service (military oath, banner and regimental uniform) in the Russian army of the first half of the 19th century. It is emphasized that the organizational-attributive factor can be defined as an element of the military regime, a set of interrelated and interdependent attributes of military service and organizational forms of their implementation in military practice, which most effectively influenced the consciousness and behavior of officers and lower ranks. It is concluded that in real military practice it represents a complex system, all elements of which were closely interconnected and interdependent.
