Organizational and tactical activities of the investigator at the preparatory stage of the search

The article considers the issues of organizational and tactical activities of the investigator at the preparatory stage of the search. The essential vision of the investigated direction of activity is determined based on the analysis of the criminal procedure law, judicial practice and the main positions of forensic scientists regarding the content of the terms “organization” and “tactics”. It is concluded that careful preparation for the search determines its effectiveness and result. The conditions in which the law enforcement officer performs the activities in preparation for the search are described. A complex of preparatory actions of the investigator is formulated, a substantive aspect of each of them is proposed. The features of the preparatory activities for the performance of a search during the investigation of illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, crimes in the field of computer information, environmental crimes are given. Recommendations on the adoption of effective measures aimed at improving the quality of the search are offered.
