Organizational and managerial changes in the activities of the cultural institutions of Buryatia during the initial period of the Great Patriotic War

The article considers the changes in the activities of the cultural institutions of the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic during the initial period of the Great Patriotic War on the basis of the unpublished and published sources. The author identifies some problems that influenced the development of culture during this period: staffing, financial difficulties, material and technical equipping, etc. The attention is paid to various forms of activities of the cultural institutions: creation of works of art, military patronage, agitation activities.
