Organ-preserving treatment of uterine fibroids and reproductive health

The article deals with the issues of surgical and alternative treatment of uterine fibroids as a phenomenon that allows you to restore health and form a holistic integrated environment. It is shown that, thanks to the data obtained in the course of scientific research, it was possible to significantly improve the EMA technique and to work out the algorithm of postoperative management, which in turn allowed to expand the indications for carrying out the EMA in submucous nodes, uterine myomas over 16 weeks of pregnancy, . The study of the efficacy and safety of uterine artery embolization with the aim of improving the reproductive health of women. The work is based on the experience of EMA performed on more than 3,000 patients in 2002-2018. on the clinical bases of City Clinical Hospital№ 31 and TsPSiR. We analyzed in detail the outcome of EMA in 560 patients with uterine myoma. The age of patients ranged from 18 to 45 years and was: from 18 to 25 years - 7%, from 26 to 30 years - 14%, from 31 to 35 years - 25%, from 36 to 40 years - 26%, from 41- 45 years old - 28%. EMA was carried out exclusively as an alternative to hysterectomy for uterine myoma in combination with menometrorrhagia (including its submucous localization), anemizing patients; sizes of a uterus over 14 weeks of pregnancy; violation of the function of neighboring organs.
