The article considers the significance and role of the orchestra of Russian folk instruments in the culture of modern Russia. The development of this genre in art directly depends on the education of the value attitude to the Russian national culture. It gives a brief description of the creation of the association of creative collectives of the Russian Federation, describes the "splash" in the development of folk music that occurred at the end of the 19th century, associated with the emergence of the first balalaika ensemble, which became the progenitor of all modern orchestras of Russian folk instruments. The role of a unique personality - a remarkable musician and composer V.V. Andreeva.
