Ornament as interpretation of sign-symbolical ritual in methodology of research of semiosphere / cogitosphere / spiritosphere of culture and art

The article is devoted to methodology of research of culture, as well as such sign-symbolical essence of culture and art as semiosphere, in Y.M.Lotman''s terminology. An ornament, in this context, representing stylistic unity of sign-symbolical culture at a certain stage of its progress, interprets features of sign-symbolical ritual of culture. At the same time, the ornament replaces ritual of culture in the sign-symbolical form of social initiation of consciousnesses in the process of its perception, assessment and understanding.
