Severe forms of primary hyperparathyroidism and its surgical treatment

The author analyzes 10-years experience of surgical treatment primary hyperparathyroidism. The results of the study show that despite of some achievements in the investigation of clinic, diagnostic and treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism in 44 % of causes patients have severe non-diagnostic disease. Because of the advancements in the localization studies and perioperative adjuncts, mini-incision focused procedures has been accepted as the treatment of choice ahead of bilateral four-gland exploration.
