The foundation of ASEAN and the trend to democratization in Asia

The article is devoted to the legislative basis for securing the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Asia. The relationship between the creation of ASEAN and the protection of human rights and freedoms is considered. The analysis of the basic rights and freedoms of the individual in Asia has been carried out. The prospects for the development of the protection of human rights in Asia are summarized.
