One of the most indicative criteria of the state's attitude to its citizens is the institution of citizenship, since its norms fix the foundations of the status of the individual, reflect the most significant initial principles that determine the position of a person in society and the state, and the principles of their relationship. This article describes the ways of acquiring citizenship, such as filiation (acquisition of citizenship by birth), which distinguishes two principles: the right of "blood” and the right of" soil”, naturalization (admission to citizenship), renaturalization (restoration of citizenship), and other ways of acquiring citizenship, among which there are potation, following the citizenship of children to the citizenship of parents, adoptive parents, guardians, Trustees; following the citizenship of incapacitated persons to the citizenship of Trustees.
