In today’s information society, there is a trend towards the increased interest in the non-core aspects of business organization, including its social image. The research analyzes the main barriers to the creation and management of the social image of business organization. It is important to understand these barriers in order to develop an effective strategy for the social image management. The creation and management of the social image of Volgograd business organizations are reviewed on the basis of sociological research conducted in 2015-2016. The author concludes that the main barriers to the management of the social image of business organizations are the lack of free financial resources, high costs of the creation of the organization’s social image, and the lack of specially trained staff.
