The main goals and objectives of the Sirius Educational Center as a federal territory: legal aspects

The article examines the process of creating federal territories using the example of the special federal territory «Sirius» (hereinafter referred to as «Sirius», Educational Center «Sirius», federal territory «Sirius»). An analysis of the goals and main objectives of the federal territory «Sirius» is carried out, as well as the mechanism of legal regulation of this process, the main goals that the state strives for when creating federal territories such as «Sirius» are identified. Particular attention is paid to the absence of a normative legal act in Russian legislation that would determine the general status and procedure for the creation of all federal territories, which leads to some gaps in the regulation of this legal phenomenon. In addition, it is concluded that it is necessary to develop and approve targeted laws on federal territories as an important component of the process of their creation.
