The main features of the author’s genre form of a “quest novel” (based on Akunin’s novel “Quest”)

The article analyzes a new genre form – a “quest novel”, its features and specifics on structural, narrative, lexical and syntactic levels based on the novel “Quest” by B. Akunin. Special attention is paid to the genesis of this genre and the rationale for the emergence of this genre transformation.
