The comparative analysis of the main characteristics of the forest layer in the derivative small-leaved and indigenous pine plantations of the sedge mixed grass type revealed the faster rate of its decomposition in birch and aspen plantations that allows to make the conclusion about the greater intensity of the matter biological cycle in these plantations. This could result in the improvement of a number of soil characteristics, which in the case of reverse species change will contribute to the successful development of pine stands.
